Hundredstone…

…refers to an area of Yeovil around the site of the stone which originally marked the site of the “Hundred of Stone” dating back to Saxon times. I had intended to write an explanation of this but couldn’t put it better than the description on a website devoted to the history of Yeovil. I have no connection with that website but have found it to be a very rich source of local history. DA
